The famous Headmaster’s Chair has been located, alive and well and living in the Resources Section at Preston College.
The chair, despite having been ignored by successive Principals, appears to have survived quite well and is in the company of the (much less glamorous) Park School Headmistress’ Chair!
It was located thanks to the efforts of David Emery, an Old Boy who was once Head of the English Faculty. He, together with Tony Olivine and Dick Bettess, visited Preston College on 09/01/2008 when numerous photographs were taken.
It seems to have survived the shock of being in the presence of such publications as “Nursery Education” and “Mother & Baby”!
